Letters of Recommendation & Appreciation

May 18, 2010

Doug,

It was such a fun night! We received terrific feedback from the audience as they were leaving, and personally, I really enjoyed it. The evening was a wonderful addition to our anniversary series. You really do put on a great show.

Thanks so much.

Pat

Subject: Re: Century Club Mardi Gras

They were wonderful... They got a standing ovation. Everyone asked for cards until they ran out.

I was asked "how did you ever find them?" That was the best Mardi Gras Program ever.

Thank you ever so much

Rosalie

Letters of Recommendation & Appreciation
The following letter was received March 17, 2006 from the Allentown Art Museum:
Dear Doug,

As always, we truly appreciate the Dixieland All-Stars' participation in the Allentown Art Museum's 2006 Winter Festival. You were a big part of making our day such a great success. The "official" count was over 700 visitors in 4 hours which far exceeds the attendance of other events in the past few years. Your energetic music in our foyer made for an exciting introduction to a great afternoon for our visitors. Every adult and child that attended your performance in the auditorium came out with a big smile. Of course I always love to see the kids so engaged in a meaningful experience, but what fun to see adults too just clapping, singing and moving to the music. Please thank the All-Stars members for their unique, professional and thoroughly entertaining program. The Dixieland All-Stars are always a pleasure to have at the Museum, and I thank you again for sharing your wonderful talent with us.

Sincerely,

Jane A. Kintzer

"Thank you for the great music at the Regional Art Reception. You made it!

Thank you for the pulse and energy - it was a fusion and I appreciate your making it happen."

Wonderful band. I received many compliments on the great sound of the band and my kids talked about how the singer was always in tune. Thanks much.

Dear Doug and Friends,

Thank you for devoting a weekend of your time at the Allentoiwn Art Museum! Fitting music to a themed event is a delicate task that your efforts helped to make much easier. The folks were quite happy with both Saturday’s event as well as the festival on Sunday – this is in part to the mood and atmosphere set by your music. One long time veteran of AAM remarked in an email to us that this was one of the “BEST Art Museum events” he had ever attended.

Thank you for being part of that!

All the best,

Rhonda Emery, Adult Programs Coordinator
Allentown Art Museum

Dear Wargo Classic Duo,
Michael and I would like to thank you for the spectacular job the two of you did at the ceremony and cocktail hour. Even though it was pouring rain, the day was perfect. The soothing melody created by your violin and cello made the event so romantic! You will be highly recommended.

With Thanks.
